Duckman49: Was your daughter picked for the doe/spike or the either-sex hunt? The CCNS is a tough hunt for archery, but fun with a rifle. I hunted it last year in January and had a great time. Could have shot a doe or management buck each day out of my pop-up but held out for a trophy. Saw 3 shooters in the four days and they were all over 130", but none close enough that I felt it was an ethical shot.
Timing at New Years last year was bad, because of the cold front that came thru. Temps down to 18-20 degrees. Javelina stayed bedded all day and only came out when the sun was high and it warmed up. Lots of pig action down in the bottoms; saw one monster boar that was over 200#. Chris, Murray, and Robert from the Daughtrey were great and offered up lots of info. Unit 1 has a nice pond in the bottom, but makes for longer shots in the openings under the power lines.Last edited by Blank; 09-07-2018, 08:30 AM.

Regular raffle for a very limited number of guided hunts, and no limit on the number of times you buy. This one has really bad odds, but someone can win the hunt of a life time for $10. Just like casino gambling, spend what you can afford, but be responsible.
