Question? If I do not get drawn for any of the hunt dates/ares I have applied for, "like usual". And get selected after pending for a second hunt dates which I have not selected. Do I loose my preference points if I am not able to make the hunt?

To the posters who asked about a couple of youth hunts.
Colorado Bend State Park is great. Lots of deer. My son and daughter killed their first bucks there on the same day about 6 years ago.
I haven’t hunted Kickapoo Cavern but the are very staunch about no baiting, even for the youth hunts.
That’s all I got!

Here’s a thought. Interested in hearing your thoughts on it.
Let’s use GDE as an example. Everyone can continue to apply for unlimited hunts in this category. However, you can only be selected for one hunt in the category as opposed to several on a given draw year.
Seems that under this scenario it would increase the odds for others to be selected. Spread the wealth, so to speak.
Disclaimer: No, I’m not a socialist or a dem!

I agree for the most part. This or limit the number of entries like on the youth which one of the reasons stated was to help fair share it. I don’t think it rings of socialism either. Socialists take from those that produce and give to those that don’t to make it “fair”. We all contribute through taxes and license fees to the state hunting program so not socialism to share amongst those participating.
