I was out there today below the dam, didn't see anything but a bunch of deer. Wondering if the hunters from last weeks hunt broke up the groups. I did speak to two guys that were mountain biking in that said they had atken a few hogs in the last couple weeks. One of the guys said he had a group of over a hundred hogs move in on him one night, he said he thought he was shooting a monster hog but it turned out to be three standing side by side? I was out there last week and saw a cotton mouth on the side of the trail, just a heads up. He's dead now Good luck.

Got to drop off the wife's suburban at Don Hewlett for some warranty work.

I might be there Saturday or Sunday since the Cowboys are out!!

I have to work at ten, What time and area are you gonna hunt? I maybe able to hunt from first light till 9.

was thinking below the dam till you posted that you didnt see anything,now im not sure,not real sure what time ill get there,told the wife to wake me at 7 so probably 8ish

went to pecan grove this morn ,we saw about twelve good sized hogs pretty far back on the ranger station side.my son bird dogged a good sized boar right to me,as the hog was running through the brush(full blast mind you coming my way)i drew my bow while standing behind a tree,not a big tree but big enough to breakup my out line .as i drew my bow this hog stops deads in tracks and looks right at me like it heard me draw my bow,then looks strait at me like it sees me and he bolts off.i was wearing orange but i swear that pig seen me

Well at least you saw some. I can't wait till these closers end and the groups stop getting split up. It will heat up toward the end of January, and if we get rain it will be even better. Last year late January thru April was great each time out. Can't wait for the Granger Ranger Extreme hunt!!!!
