Why no shot?

I was on the ground my buddy was in a tree stand. The pig came from behind and towards my buddy. At that point he was about 20 yards away. Not to sure what spooked him but he started to walk right at the back of my buddy towards me. I was getting off the ground to turn when he heard me or winded me finally. Either way I was glad to see some action there.

Yep, but I would trade places with you heartbeat. Havent deer hunted the vine in 6 + years.

I'm liking the area. It's a fun place to scout for sure. I can't wait for all these hours in the field to be justified with a deer!

Are you rattling in the afternoon? I had a lot of luck hitting the rattle bag hard when walking in. Not sure why, but I usually get them running in hard about 15 minutes after settling in. Just my experience. Good luck.

I rattled that one up about 3. 30 min or so after i got on stand
