Yeah like I said the rule serves a good purpose but this deer needs to die and I like killing deer thar need it.
One management 6 and hog that I've heard of so far. There was still a few out when I left the hq.

Pretty slow thus far. That Large 4, a spike and a doe with twins. The doe and twins were here off and on for over an hour. Gonna hang in till noonish then check my camera on the other spot and form a plan based on what it shows.
My dad is loosing patience as hunting in sonora spoils him to seeing lots and lots of deer every day. This is a little different with no feeder just hand corn and a really green south Texas pasture but I keep telling him it can happen at any time.
I have a good natural cover scent / hog call working thanks to some good Mexican food last night...

I moved to a spot that I've corned the past two evenings but only had the camera running since last night due to an operator error.... It had pictures of just a few deer as the hogs quickly cleaned up the corn. I did have pictures of a 10 that's a possible shooter. He came by about 9am checking for corn of which there was little or none.
I set up a tripod and hand corned the spot for tonight then climbed up at 2pm.
The wind was called for SE then switching back to the NE tonight. It has changed earlier then predicted back to the north. After just getting settled in i had to move the tripod across the opening and now have a better wind. Problem is the corn was placed for the other spot which leaves me a marginal shot. If tomorrow wasn't the last hunt I'd pull out but it's too close to the end to worry about it.
I can see through a lot of broken cover so i should see some movement and can at least enjoy the hunt.

I can see turkeys in a large opening where two roads form a y. They're feeding so hopefully they stay there. I also just heard some hogs cutting loose in the creek bottom. They weren't on camera in the day time so hopefully they too stay away.
It's a flock of about 20 or so, they have pestered my dad the entire trip.

A nervous little 2 year old 8 finally came in after milling around all too close to my stand. Then was startled by a doe ran her off.
I've seen 12 deer this sit with 5 coming to corn. None bigger then this 8.
It's been a fun sit where two heavy trails cross. I'm 20 yards from the trail where the corn is where I took the picture of both deer and about 50 yards west of the main crossing trail.
