Yeah I'm very familiar with the grasslands and haven't seen any hogs out there unfortunately. I never thought of Grapevine and I grew up there.. It's worth checking out thanks!!

I'm about to have a couple weeks off, so we should see about taking a day to fish. I'm determined to put a hurtin on the cats real soon. Wife keeps trying to interfere though.

I don't catfish. Or at least I haven't since I was a kid. But I'd certainly do some scouting or shoot some recurves. If you'd like to fish the bay or fish for something else I'm game.

Fishing is fishing. Unless you're catching, like we'll be doing this weekend with the cats. Gonna be on fire. Once all this fresh water clears up. Shad have been on the bulkheads for a couple weeks now.

Go catch o bunch of that shad and freeze it for me. Friday is now up in the air. Nicole didn't tell me til last night the boys have a dr appointment friday. Trying to get mom to help her with that. Either way, i need a supply of shad. I'll trade you for some fresh oak.

Have you never frozen and thawed out shad? They turn to mush when they defrost. Don't stay on the hook too great. But I'll gladly grab some for you.

I should know something by Thursday. And the whites are tearing up the top water right now around Pine Island. Might wanna hit that up too if we have time.

Better than not having any at all! We take them as back up....just in case we can't catch any on Conroe
