WW, just to plant a seed in your mind for when we get closer to season. Certain animals flinch on the shot. It is one of the main reasons trad hunters like the 15 yd or less shots.

When you start to focus on deer... you want to focus real low. Some guys focus a couple inches down the leg. I personally have a hard time doing that but I do focus on where the leg literally meets the body.

Around mid August is when I break out the 3D deer. I have literally just about shot the leg off the deer.

I have the 3d deer out but have been practicing on the foam block. It's easier to move around and something different to look at. I usually shoot low on the vitals just in case they jump the string. I even set my crossbow scope up that way. I'll probably start practicing more 3D again soon but I've been having fun shooting the new foam block since I got it a month or so ago.

I only shoot the deer between mid august through to January. After that I am shootin bags, balloons, blocks , etc, empty water bottles, etc.

Thanks. It does us well for now. You should have came out to one of the gtg before season. We leave it up till hunting season. Then it all goes in the barn till January.
