Man... all that damage at Buffalo is no bueno! Ouch.

Speaking of ouch... it sucks to wear em, but I avoid lower limb damage by wearing chainsaw chaps. Might want to suck it up and get some.

Took both kids to borroughs park today. The pond was low anf the back parking was swamped???? The levee broke. We caught some sunfish to bring home so I could teach my son how to fry up some gills for fish tacos.

Long dead gum drive is over! Had fun but glad it's over. Now time to unpack and go to bed. Stopped at the Natural Bridge Caverns on the way home. Why do vacations wear you out so dang bad?!

Got a late report for y'all. Went fishing Friday afternoon and got on the water at about 1500 and was in the fish almost as soon as I started casting. It's a five fish limit and that took about 10 minutes. I caught around 50 trout all total ( released every thing over the limit ) in about 4 hours. I haven't had a day like that in awhile. Birds were working over small shad about an inch long and the trout were behind the birds. It was a pretty good day to be me.

Yep, Friday was the day.

Today, wasn't Friday.

Surf was horribly high. Water looked great, but the undertow was bad. Waves were over my head at the 2nd bar. So we went into the bay. Caught a bunch of croaker, redfish, trout, etc. Just nothing of any size. Did catch one really good sized sheepshead.

But we had a really good time. It's almost getting to be the time where I switch over to deer, as the days are pretty hot to fish. I'll make a few morning runs and that's about it.

I've got a trip to Hackberry in the middle of July and a trip to Mansfield at the end of July.
