Wanderin, I think you might be on to something. I shot my second biggest Sam buck on a windy day. If memory serves me right it was about 4:00pm and sunny, the wind was 18 to 20 mph and about 35° at about 4:00pm.

Bryce was this in November?

Went to hang a stand this evening and jumped a goodun in my area. Big 9 pointer with a kicker off G2, id say 130ish.. he was with a lil 6 pointer and they looked to be cruising. Needless to say ill be there waiting on em to double back tomorrow!

Hi guys, I'm hoping to make it to the sam today, but I have a quick story. I had a black tick on me for a few days before I found it. Then came a big swollen Red Bull's eye rash around the bite. Wife made me go to doc, they said it was Lyme disease and gave me antibiotics. I only share this bc if any of you get a rash from a tick bite, it may be Lyme and it's very very important to shut it down early or it is too late. I'm symptom free and hope to stay that way. If you get the rash around a bite DO NOT WAIT. Go to a dr. Ok glad I shared that, good luck sam hunters, I appreciate this thread.
