Went and checked cams and scouted a bit Saturday. One cam was missing, but that the price of doing business. Everything was incredibly green and there was a substantial amount of standing water. Still getting some fairly decent traffic; excited to start seeing some growth and see if a few make it till October.
Wife has completed Hunter Education... so just now need to find a good morning to head out to the woods and try and get her on a couple bushy tails. Time to do some google earth scouting. The bottoms I usually hunted during Fall were more than a mile in and had water crossings... think I'll try and avoid those for the first trip out.
Then to see if a squirrel will run into my bullet.
I tell you what... I really think the secret to hitting a squirrel with an arrow is to figure out how to get them to run into the arrow instead of away from it.

Or put a little gun powder behind the arrow.
I saw some setup ted nugent had that he fired an arrow out of a .22 or something. Was either a really light load with a special nock or an airgun. Can't remember.
