    c'mere deer on public lands

got this reply from the people at c'mere deer. i asked them if it was a bait(trace minerals and what not). i know the public lands booklet says we can use "scent lures simulating animal odors". would this be ok since it is a scent? opinions please.

Thank you for your enquiry, all of the liquid forms of C'mere Deer are scent attractants only.

since its digestable IMHO I think it would be baiting. If it were just scents in the air it would be a different thing

hmm, good point. guess i'll use deer scents on wma's that dont allow baiting.

I use the one that drips when sun comes up, I have heard buck bomb has been used but its like the stuff ya spray at a bday party and it solidifies when it hits the air...may as well say I HUNT HERE HAHAHAHA

I know someone who used it just for bait in front of his trail cam the forest rangers found his camera sampled the soil and watched the area and ticketed him and he didn't even hunt it.

Well....I tried if a couple times last year with moderate success at best. The Parkers seem to really impressed with it, but I don't think they hunt on public land that has alot of pressure. Remember those deer see, taste, smell, and hear everything the hunting supply store has to offer out there Another TBH guy suggested this to me and it seems to be really working (I hunt on a lease but it boarders public land, so same deer).....try Apple Juice. It smells almost Identical to C'meer Deer and is a fraction of the cost ($20:$2 a gallon) my deer have been going crazy over it.

P.S. Public land in our area ALLOWS baiting. Make sure its allowable where you plan to hunt.

If you can bait on your public land use it. I think you might have a problem at Sommerville WMA. I will ask the Wildlife Manager next time I see her. If any of the regulars see her go ahead and ask .

i use it at whitney, we are allowed to bait there, but i was curious if i could use it somewhere else since they claim it was just a scent. im going to be safe and just use it where baiting is legal. ill try some deer scents where baiting is not allowed instead. thanks for the input everyone.
