I hunt national forest land a bunch, but can't seem to find any clear cut maps of them. The Forest Service maps aren't the least bit detailed, and the best way I've found so far to figure out the boundaries is to compare them to satellite imagery on google maps and hope for the best. Is there any sort of app or software that gives clear cut boundary lines for forest land? Also, sort of off topic but what's a good topo app?

I heard OnX maps rock for boundary lines and such if you have a garmin GPS, they have a smartphone app too.
they aren't cheap but they cost a lot less than a trespassing fine... https://www.onxmaps.com/

This should be the correct link to add overlays to google maps on your computer etc. Not sure how it will help on your phone, but it give clear indications of where the boundaries are. I've been using it for a few seasons and it's helped a bunch. I use a handheld gps and I can place a pin on google maps of areas I want to check out, then upload to the gps. Or I can download my waypoints from the gps and see how far I cam from private land.

Forest boundaries lines are marked with red blazes on line trees within sight distance of each other. Corners are marked with a iron pipe monument with aluminum cap with corner number and tract number stamped on it. Each corner should have three witness trees with a red ring at breast height and metal corner tag indicating the distance and bearing to the corner monument.
