Most thieves are looking ground level for your stuff.
Good luck up their. Those POS are selling on Ebay no doubt.

What are using to hang them higher with and still get good pics? Is there a bracket your using or just placing twigs and branches behind it to angle it downward?

I make my own bracket that screws to cameras and into tree. The brackets are adjustable to angle downward and actually get wider view( wish could attach pic on here???) I get hardware at home depot or Lowes to make up brackets $4 or less I put up bout 10ft

Also deer are less likely to notice your scent on camera, which is why you see some deer sniffing your cameras

For those getting cameras stolen out at TB area. Walmart has Tasco 8mp for $28.88
Bets having your good camera taken by POS out there. My advice if possible get vertical

I bowhunt strictly and have actually caught a pos trying to steal someone blind that I knew, saying he was getting his friend blind they put out (but could not remember his name), so held him at gunpoint and called GW. friend had marked his son with marker in many places inside blind, I call him while GW was there with pos to have him verify this gear
Disclaimer: don't do what I did and hold at gunpoint. But this Marine could not let this happen....oh well Pos went to jail

How do you get the card to check it climb up each time? Sounds like the right idea, and worth the inconvenience of having to climb up to check it

He trains squirrels to retrieve the cards and replace with fresh card. Spends entire off season training them. Real Shít!

It the same as if you had it mounted the same at eye/waist level. When I want to check card (carry extra replacement card), since I bowhunt mostly. I carry 1 single section of ladder step. I anchor it as high as I want camera placed (usually waist high=10th up). I attach section so reach camera...open remove put fresh card in. Then leave or hunt whichever you doing. If I'm hunting that day, I take card with me to view on phone. I use SD reader which attach to phone and check date/times. This helps pattern as to when I should be in a certain area or stand. Can get card readers Academy walmart, Dicks, BassPro works great.
Going verticle I make brackets 1/4-20 screw in (see pic) screw under or back of cameras. Use SD reader to check pictures while waiting for go time... hope this gives you some insite

I bought one of those tascos a couple years ago and its been running 365 since I bought it with no problems. the one I got is the exact same as a bushnell that is twice the money.
