I put in for that hunt about 10 years in row in the 90's also - never got drawn..... always wanted to do that hunt though....... we hunt Aransas so I know there must be some big old ones on the island..... my dad was a fighter pilot in WWII and bomb the heck out of that island..... practicing.... it is special to me...... thanks for posting, that's a good one.... keep posting and sending pics.....

Yes it's an APR rifle; 1968 m700 action with a 1:9 Bartlein barrel in 7rm with a McMillan stock.

Both of my APR builds have shot .5 moa to 600 yards.
