    Baiting!!!!

I was doing some light scouting today and ran across some deer corn on some public. I am caught in between turning the spot in or just ignoring it and hunt somewhere else.

    What would you do?

    A: Call in the spot!!

B: Leave it alone and mind my own business!!

C: Leave a sign and tell them to hunt by the rules and that you are messing
    it up for everyone!!

It depends. Some area allow hand scattered corn.

      Multiple Choice

Without a doubt choose A: Make the call.

Some unknowing hunter may walk by at the "wrong time" and be accused of hunting over bait.

Ethical hunters have to stand up to protect our sport.

I will take the GPS coords of the spot of any illegal stands, feeders or baiting and either phone or email the hunting coordinator of the particular project. They do take care of it I have gone back the next week and the stuff will always be gone.

I would definately let the game warden or park ranger know.
it's those kind of people who ruin it for everybody..
          just my 2 cents..

NTEX, what kind of public land?

Some ACE projects allow hand tossed corn, and some don't.

              U.S. Forestry Service Dose Not.

Type II, I'm not sure but will resurch it .

Call it in! Then they will tell you if it's legal or not and if it's not, give them the location and let the perpetrators get caught on opening day! Let them know that we, as law abiding outdoors people, will not abide the reckless breaking of the law. If you don't then some honest, unsuspecting hunter might get accidently drawn into the situation by just walking by at the wrong time.

I have no problem with baiting or whatever systems are legal where you hunt, but if it IS AGAINST THE LAW in the public area you hunt, then do the right thing and report the law breakers.

Wonder if all the "Green" wooden ladder stands will be back this year... I see PVC pipe feeders..bucket feeders all OVER the ACE area....stands left in the area for the season...

Very easy to see...do the wardens ever walk the woods on ACE?

This place does not allow it. I ended up calling the main office with location and they said they will look at it Saturday.
