Elk Question

So this is for all you elk hunters out there. I have been scouting and researching for elk and am hoping to go over the counter in Colorado since I am in Denver for the next 2 years and have been for the last 2 years. My question is about where to find elk. I have a spot in particular I want to try out but I'm not sure if it holds any elk. I put a picture up of the area and keep in mind it is about 3-4 miles deep so only about 1/3 of a mile across the bottom finger. Any help or insight is appreciated, thanks

I think it would be a good hike to look for sign. Maybe they just come into the bowl after the first snow. I would investigate.

Colorado G&F website has summer and winter range I think. If you are bowhunting the elk won't be far from their summer range, but on the ground info is still the best.
