    School me!

I know nothing about hunting on public land but I really want to give it a try here in Grayson county. I don't have anything legal to shoot on my family farm back home in Lamar county and Im tired of tag soup. Can anyone give me the basic run down?

Do you use a stand? What kind?
Do you hunt from the ground with your bow and how effective is it to do this?
Do you guys pre scout your area or just set up as you go?
Do you prefer morning or evening hunts on public land?

Hopefully someone will have the answers Im looking for.

    Thanks

You would have better luck hunting Oklahoma public land. Here in grayson you will see a tree stand every 100 or 200 yards apart.

There's no deer in Grayson... known fact! Ask anyone on here!
