Lake tawakoni Caddo creek unit hunting partner

Does anyone that lives in this area wanna meet tomorrow morning to hunt? I'm gonna go scout and find a position this afternoon and come back in the morning to hunt. Hopefully there will be deer moving. I plan on walking all the way to the back north corner to get away from any other lazy hunters

I tried it about 3-4 yrs ago. I went way back in there and setup on a good spot. 30 minutes after daylight had another hunter walk through with arrow nocked Robin Hood style. I whistled so he knew my location. After he passed on another dude walked almost right under me without seeing me. I also whistled so he knew where I was at. I think I scared the mess out of him when I whistled. To me there were too many stalk hunters for such a small spot to not get interrupted. Hopefully it's better now days

HAHAHAH. I've had a couple robin hoods stalk by me too over on LBJ. Had one guy rattling about 100yrds in front of me, another guy grunting behind me about 80 yards away, and finally a third walked by me with trad set up arrow knocked all at the same time. I thought it was pretty cool

Ive hunted public for a couple of years now and have noticed that trying to get as far from parking area as possible is not always the ticket. Lots of other folks have that same idea. I found it was more crowded further in due to this. Start looking at the spots that everyone else is walking past.
