Enchanted Rock SNA Archery Hunt 2014

I'll be hunting Oct. 7-9. Anyone else drawn for this year? I've never been there. I plan to get a motel in either Llano or Fredericksburg. It's going to be roasting hot but I'm still excited for this opportunity.

Good luck. Its a fun hunt. I stayed in Fredericksburg.

One word of advice. I took a folding camp chair to sit on in the stand. They provide a box stand with a 2x6 to sit on that got terribly uncomfortable after 4 hours.

I saw 2 deer - a fork horn and a doe but got no shots. It's a great place to hunt. Hopefully I'll get another chance someday. They hope to make it a 5-day hunt in the future. That would help the chances of bagging something. Beautiful scenery. It sure was hot though. I wish they'd hold the hunt in the winter.
