I just received an email from TPWD, I was drawn for James Daughtry May 4 - 8, pretty pumped.

No dice for my group this year again...4PP for gator and 2PP for gator management.

Not sure how first timers get drawn ahead of people that have been trying for years?? And somebody has 28PP for GDE without getting drawn?! How is that possible?!

Because Texas handles PP different than other states.
There is no specific amount of points that guarantees you a draw.
Someone with 0 points can get drawn 5 years in a row, while someone with 50 points may not get drawn.
