Anybody going to this unit in Feb?

I think I am going to give it a try. Will be tough, but exciting to hunt some sheep.

I'll be hunting it, but after hogs rather than the Aoudad. Drove down there a month or so ago and looked it over from the road.....you young guys can have those rocks. Good luck!

Stop in at the Buchanan General store on the corner and ask the owner if aoudad are there. She is a really nice lady.

What's required to hunt those sheep at Eachus? I thought you needed to draw a tag... Hope that's not the case!

Only requirement is your APH permit. Feb 1 - 28....hogs/Aoudad, archery only.

I grew up in Burnet and cant say for sure that there are any Aoudad in that specific tract, but there are def some in the area. I had a friend with a lease not far from there close to the lake(about 5 miles down the road) and he had a good amount of them on his place. This was 5 years ago. Ill see if I can get some more info on this place. I will also be giving it a try but it will probably be during the week when there is less pressure. My parents live 15 min from there so I hope to get atleast a few hunts in. If anyone wants to team up preferably during the week sometime, shoot me a pm. If anyone makes it out there this weekend be sure and give us a report! Ill do the same.
