Thanks. Have seen at least 1 deer or more each hunt. Kinda hard to get shot opportunities. Already had a little spike come by me this mornin. Nice and cool. Feels like a good day.

Questions about Hunt

My little sister was just drawn for the gun youth hunt, and I had a few questions about the park. Is bating allowed, if so what did they allow (corn, pellets, alfalfa)? Any particular unit or stand to ask for or to avoid? Do they let you drive your vehicle to your assigned compartment.

The first day they did allow for you to drive to set up. Then there is an assigned spot to park and walk to stand once the hunt starts. They had tripods and box blinds there. Also a couple of pop ups. I brought my own pop up. They allowed me to set it up as long as it was close to theirs. Can bait with corn that is alfatoxin tested or any of the other deer attractant products. Blinds where assigned. 4 out of 5 of us got something, and everybody had opportunities. Stands are well placed. Clay will take good care of you.
