ATV/ORV changes at OSBWMA

Not 100% sure but from the looks of the map the portion east of the main road which has been ATV/ORV will now be limited to the main trail running east from the main road.

Looks like it will not be a ride a wherever there is a trail east of the main road like it has been in the past.

How is the hunting there me and a friend got drawn for a bow hunt there this December Neither of us have ever been there

I am not going to sugar coat it, the deer hunting is tough. There are not alot of deer on the place but I know people who regularly kill a deer on the place.

There are lots of pigs and lots of hunters. You can archery hunt pigs year round and by the time you get to hunt they will have had squirrel hunters and APH archery hunters all over the place.

Do a search on here, there is alot of information on this forum. The best advice I have is to get as far from the roads as you can. With the draw hunts you wil be able to use a ATV/UTV on any part you draw. The part west of FM 1804 is an overgrown weed field with few if any trees you could put a stand in but there should be some good spots for a tripod.

Good luck on the hunt, I plan on spending some time on the place during the dates you can hunt with the APH
