      yes it is quite funny how all these farmers do all the crying about hogs invading their crops, but if you knock on their door and ask to hunt hogs on their land and help out they slam the door on you.

        Have you actually tried knocking on farmers doors to see if you can hunt hogs, you might be surprised how many would say yes.

          my neighbors own land and when asked if i can hunt hogs they said no.

            How many of you would allow a complete stranger on your land with a weapon? Unfortunately, most of these farmers have done exactly what you are talking about in the past, and gotten bitten (gates left open, trash, shell casings, driving off established ranch roads, ...). If you really want to hunt a place, don't start out with "can I hunt", start out with "Nice to meet you", then build a relationship. If they get to know you first, over time your odds will improve. Not always, of course, but sometimes.

              nah, im not brown nosing anyone just to hunt their land. i prefer hunting public land anyways, i was just commenting on how some farmers complain about hogs then turn away friendly hunters when asked if it would be ok to hunt on their land.
