When public hunting book come out ?

Wanting to try to get in on the draws this year. When do y'all buy the book and when do u start sending applications in?

TPWD will have them come the last week in June and then they're mailed out in bulk by zip code to all that applied last year.

Check their website for info or a number to call to get a book with all the hunts. Different hunts have different deadlines for application. Look for hunts that offer the most permits for the best chance to go. Along with that look at how many applied last year. I haven't applied in about 4 years but if the places to go are still similar some good ones for a Houston area guy are Gus Engeling, Richland Creek, & Fort Boggy. These usually have good odds for being picked, a pretty good chance to get a deer, not too far to go, and a camping area.
