You might consider Lake Whitney. From what it looks like, lot of deer in that direction.
Lake Whitney has lots of deer .

Thanks for the heads up about Lake Whitney. Unfortunately, I live in North Dallas and it takes a little over 2 hours to get there from my place. While I'm not opposed to driving that distance for good hunting, the fact that they only pass out permits in person and during work hours Mon-Fri makes it difficult for me to get one. Additionally, I typically like to put in a fair ammount of time with my boots on the ground and a 4+ hours in the truck for each scouting trip is going to get expensive in a hurry, not to mention cause me to spend a lot of time away from my wife and daughter. I'm more or less looking for options north and east of the metroplex.

Again, thanks for the heads up guys.

Just picked up the kids permits and our general permits. Crossing my fingers for the draw.

I'd be interested in a cleanup party as well.

Either way, Aquilla and Whitney are still pretty good, killed my first deer with a bow out there last year. Best of luck to everyone on the lotto!
