What Happened To 'Pending 2nd Draw'?

I wondered the same thing.

I also noticed that my personal information on my profile was changed to someone elses. I had someone else's phone number and email on my profile.

I've heard this has happened to other people. The draw system went FUBAR

RESOLUTION!

I called TPWD and this is how it works now:

Say there are 10 permits for a given hunt. They draw 10 names as first selection and another 10 names that will go into “Pending 2nd Draw” everyone else goes straight to not selected.

Maybe this leads to a better chance for standby spots…?
Trying to find the positive in not always having a second chance with the $200 I donate every year.

It was never 100% that went into 2nd draw in previous years either. I have had some of mine go into "not selected" immediately after the 1st draw in years prior to this year.

That's weird...mine changed to pending 2nd draw as well. It said "not selected" before.

I like that explanation cause it gives some reasonable hope on second draw. Hopefully it's accurate and if it changes they provide an update in the rules.

one was a wild shot, i would have thought potter creek might have gotten second chance lotto

FYI check your draw status if it said not selected, they still did the 2nd draw.

Sounds like their new software has some bugs. A lot of conflicting reports.

Checked just now after reading this thread, all of mine still say Not Selected.
