Need some info on Trinity NWR McGuire Unit

I am not sure how it happens but, I got drawn for two muzzleloader hunts this year. 1st one at Lake Whitney the 2nd, Trinity NWR McGuire Unit. I know NOTHING about hunting south east Texas. Never been to this area and have no clue what I am getting into. Any info would be appreciated. Am I going to get to use my kayaks?

Lake Whitney you will see more deer.
