2023/24 TP&W Draw Hunts

Glen and I drew the spike and doe hunt at Lost Maples. Doesn't look like they do a lot of hunts. Anybody done one there?

I got drawn for the Moore Plantation USFS Antlerless Deer Permit. I'll take it! The Moore is only about 20 miles from my house and I've never hunted it. Looks like I'm going to this year!

Never drawn there but that park/SNA is amazing scenery…

be prepared to have zero cell service or maybe one bar, unless they added a tower, or something changed. …
I did a long hike there and stayed in primitive campsites. Saw quite a few critters…should have no problem seeing animals.

I've wanted to hunt there for a long time!!! One day hopefully I'll draw. Good luck and I'm definitely looking forward to the update on how the hunt goes.

I'm pending second on all of my GDE. I thought the gun mule deer was also today but I guess I have to wait two more weeks.

Yep, Gun Mule Deer deadline is 10/1 so we should see Pending 2nd Draw on 10/2.

Well looks like it is my sons year we just got back from his youth alligator hunt at JD Murphree and this morning I got the email he was drawn for the youth only management hunt at elephant mountain

Pending 2nd draw or NOT SELECTED on all adult Draws I put in for, but I only put in for the hard to get draws with the fewest permits for the past few years to get the PP's while putting my son in for as many hunts as allowed since this is his last year of eligibility. He struck out on YGDE on the earlier draw and today he only drew YGDAS at Nannie Stringfellow.

Struck out again this year. I haven't drawn in a long time, but my son has. We enter together and his points bring my average down. Maybe next year.
