We drew Private Lands Either Sex on Pecos County Ranch. I had 19 points, and Zach had 9, so 14 points for our app.

Glad it was someone with more points than me! I get riled up when someone with 1-2 draws in a category I have 10+ in!

My kids drew the either sex deer hunt on south llano State Park for January 2-4.

Popped lanwr archery in December. Gonna try to throw down on a nilgai with my longbow... probably oughta start practicing more at 30 yards.

Gotta rehab my rotator surgery I had today before then so I can shoot the compound. Otherwise, it may be a crossbow for me. I certainly don't see it coming to that tho.

My son got drawn for Justin Hurst WMA deer hunt (either sex) for Oct 7-8. I was reading a post on here last night started by Welding Teach; summary of advice learned.....bring mosquito repellent.

My son drew Gus E rifle mid November and my dad and I drew E postcard archery at James daughtery! Yesterday was a good day

me too but it shows this system doesn't work. Several years ago, I was drawn for a rare Mule Deer hunt here and had maybe 1-2 points.

I'm not a fan of the current system, but I do like how everyone has some sort of chance. If it was highest points only, they should allow a point-only purchase every year.

I'd be fine with that change. The main thing they need to do is make non-residents pay a higher entry fee and higher hunt fee like every other state does. Yes the hunting license is a little more expensive than residents but entries to the draw should be too
