Caddo Lake WMA

Does anyone have any experience hunting the public lands north of the state park (Goat Island area)? I will be doing some camping there next week and thought I might take the canoe and explore some of the islands, not sure of the conditions though....

Any input would be appreciated!

The lake is crazy low. There are spots around goat island that I had a hard time getting through the boat road in a prodrive last month. With a canoe I'm sure you won't have the problems I had. There is surely alot more dry ground than in years past to hunt and the exposed sediment should make it easy to find some travel corridors. Good luck!
