According to forest service in decatur u can only hunt doe during bow season and the day of thanksgiving thru that sun

Special Youth-Only Season: Early open season: Oct. 29-30, 2011. Late open season: Jan. 2-15, 2012.

Bag limits, provision for the take of antlerless deer, and special requirements of the county, shall be as specified for the first 2 days of the general open season.

Licensed hunters 16 years of age or younger may hunt deer by any lawful means during this season

the does are not part of the late season on lbj i called last year about it but spikes are ok

The LBJ follows state regulations for youth hunters. Adults can't take a doe during the late season Jan 2-15, 2012. It's spike only for adults.
