anybody know of any public hunting areas where there are fallow deer? i would love to get one without having to pay 2-3 thousand. ive heard they taste great which im anxiuos to try and they make a beautiful trophy!

No public hunting in texas for much of that sort -
You might get lucky at garner or guadalupe SP. Fallow take a relatively long time to mature, and are not the brightest animals when they are young, so it's real tough to find a wandering mature fallow on higher pressure land.Comment

Fallow pretty unlikely at Guadalupe. I can't think of any parks that have a substantial fallow population. Garner is almost totally axis, with some Spanish goats, a few hogs, and very few sika.
Side note--
Seems like everyone wants a several thousand dollar trophy for $100 on public land. If we don't support the parks system, the chance to even view some of these animals, much less hunt them at 300% below market value, will disappear for current and future generations.Comment
