public dove fields around dfw

anyone care to share experiences or info on the public dove fields around the dfw area? thinking about checking some out this weekend just wonder what to expect (i.e. is it a war-zone, are there enough birds to be worthwhile, any tips on picking out one or two to try)?

prob not a war zone at this point in the season. maybe check out the ones south in ellis county i've done ok down there.
