You have no idea how badly I want some pigs to charge me. My friend paul and I talk about it all the time. We are only 19, so this dumb idea sounds awesome to us (at least we know we'll think its a bad idea down the road). I always carry a .357 magnum at the ranch (3 lions killed there in 18 mo.) and I just want to quick draw on some pigs and blast 'em

Better take somethin with a little more umph than .357. Saw a guy pump four rounds from a .357 into an injured boar and only sped him up. He'd been shot with a bow, but hadn't gone dwon and this guy thought the .357 would stop him. When we finally found the hog (dead from the arrow wound, not the bullets) we pulled the hide off him and all four .357 slugs fell out of the inside of his shield. Never got deep enough to hit the vitals.

WOC is archery only dec 7 thru jan 3,no firearms allowed. There is a general season for hogs in feb-mar though.

White Oak Creek WMA also has Special Draw hunts for both deer and feral hogs. This year they included a Feral Hog Hunt using dogs. That one will be interesting to see the data and hunter success on when they send it to me.

yea they have torn the whole place up walked 5 miles yesterday only found 2 rubs thinking about trying a different place to hunt any ideas? heard whitney was good distance doesnt matter just want see some deer season will be cut sort leaving for the army in jan. thanks

Little far drive but If u wanna hog I've been to this one spot 3 times jumped hogs everytime its the same spot the hogs charged me I went back yesterday to do some good scouting had 5 hogs 40 yards away

I'm going to get my CHL in January. I will check to see which places you can carry with a CHL. I know some you can but not sure which. State land, Federal land or both.

Alazan is just outside of Nagadoches and has a lot of deer. They do have hogs, but they have been trapping them for the last year, and you can see the effect.
