There is, but you have to get drawn.

Yeah, you have to go apply at the Corps of Engineers office. I just wasn't sure if you get assigned a spot/section or not. I had been meaning to ask about it, but always got sidetracked. I live in Fountainwood Estates and it borders the Lake Georgetown area. PLENTY of deer here so assume they are also a lot where the neighborhood ends and the Lake Georgetown land begins.

I probably should get out Google maps or a topo and figure out exactly where I could walk in. Assuming the stars were to align on it.

It’s first come first serve after you get your permit. Plenty of access off DB Woods

It is. I was hoping to be able to walk in from my house. The orientation booklet map isn't great so hard to pinpoint things, but it looks to me that it would be at least a 1.5 mile hike in to hunt. Not horrible, but was hoping it was closer. Still, it is really close so I probably should get off my butt and go apply this coming year.

Yeah unfortunately you’re land locked where you’re at, but not a far drive from access.
