Archery drawing at Gus?

Got picked for archery at Gus Engeling.Anyone else going? Never been to Gus,
tell me about your past hunts,good or bad at Gus.THANKS.

we hunted 2 years ago, saw 8 deer from the stand in 4 days, most within bow range but the bucks were border line shooters, no does up close. some guys saw more some less. got a trail cam picture of a very nice 10, 30 minutes after dark.

I haven't hunted there in years, did when it was open to the permit holders. I do know there are some big deer in there. Make sure you have your snake boots on, there are plenty of no shoulders in there also...

I grew up right next door to it. I've personally never hunted the place but have seen some great deer in there. I'm not sure what your options are on compartment location on these draw hunts. It's densly wooded with lots of low areas and water. There are lots of pigs. Not sure if you know but it has quite a few gators. Local biologist has seen them up to 12+ feet long.

I got drawn again this year. GE has some pretty good bucks. Saw one last year that was a shooter. They have a 16" minimum inside spread requirement. Guess I'll see ya there.
