Bullfrog Bandit

I had one do that last month. I watched him for a while from the window. He was flopping that frog around like a pit bull with a chew toy. I watched off and on for about 30 minutes, then the next time I checked he was gone. Walked down to see if I could find the frog, but I guess it swallowed it, or flew off with it.

I see these on our ponds occasionally, I try to keep them run off. My brother lives outside of Tyler and his land is sandy soil. He says he has seen those heron type birds get a gopher out of his pasture, bring it to his pond dunk it a few times and swallow it.
