Gobbler

The other day I shot a gobbler with my bow. As he was doing the death wobble, this other gobbler came running out to spur and peck him as he finally deceased. I was able to grab a few pictures of the encounter.

I shot 2 in one hunt one time. First one flew straight up and died right there, and they all attacked him. The second one I shot was standing on top of the first one.

That is pretty cool. I got one with my bow a few years ago and had a knock off brand tacticam on my stabilizer. I got a short video of the group mauling the one I shot for a moment or 2.

I considered it, and I had the green light to fill all of my tags, but I decided to take pictures instead. My best friend is the landowner and actually was the one running the camcorder during my shot. Glad I got it all on video and got some good pictures as well.

Thank you! The Tom I shot had right at a 9” beard. I put my arrow right through his beard so my buddy thinks I trimmed a little off, but if so it wasn’t much at all. If I can figure out how to imbed the video I’ll post it.
