Saw in the snow in New York

I hunted a friends apple orchard in New York last week.

While looking for a spot to tag a buck I found this old saw.

Something about the teeth contrasting with the snow made me stop and take a picture.

Now I wish I took a few more but it was cold and I was after a big buck.

Looks like an old shingle mill saw. It was most likely powered by a tractor or a small gas engine.
