Nice colors - I like the stream and tree bark photos best.

The first two are my favorites. The stream pic is very nice - great colors and interesting little waterfall. I like pictures of moving water like that. I can almost hear the gurgling.

Being a Panhandle farmboy, I'm a sucker for the some good flat ground and a pretty sky - especially sunsets, sunrises, or thunderstorms. Love the double rainbow!

Looking hard to try to find some way to improve them, I'd say for the stream pic you could stop way down to f/16 or f/22 or so with ISO 100 and get a slower shutter speed to blur the water into a milky/misty haze. Then, I'd pick that stray horizontal twig off of the bush in the right foreground so it doesn't distract from the water.

For pic #2, it'd be hard to improve again. I don't know if it would be an improvement or not, but maybe if the framing had been slightly lower to cut out the loss of color toward the top - and then maybe a little bit farther to the left to get the road a little more into the frame. Maybe the best thing would have been to move the camera (and yourself) to the left about 15 yards to get the road about 1/3 of the way from the left edge while still leaving the rainbows about where they are here. Wouldn't be much of a change though.

        GREAT pics!

Great subject matter. Are you shooting in program mode?

Watch "obstructions" in your shots as in the stick in pic 1.

Your rainbow picture #2 is a great shot. I with Shane on this one. The subject is the rainbow, but more road and fence in this shot would have been better to contrast the sky.

Is the steamboat a crop? Also, as Shane stated, on a large subject at a distance, squeeze down that aperture so you get a crisper picture.

I am not a big "thirds" kind of guy, but try to not center your subjects in your photos. Of set the subject some. Try to compose the picture, locking focus and recompose and see what you get.

And lastly, the framing is way too big. I like some frame around a photo to set it off from the back ground on the computer. Just make it smaller.

          The "pile" is perfect

            Headed in the right direction.
Pics like #4 can be pretty interesting.

I'm far from being an expert on photography but I think they are pretty awesome.

I'm voting for the last picture. You can almost see the seeds in there. Great detail.

The creek and the bark are best in my mind.
