    Looking for input

I took this pic this weekend and I love it.

It has been suggested to me that I get someone to photoshop out the deer in the background. I have already cropped the pic heavily to get the feeder out of the pic. This is the original.

Yall play with it and see what you can come up with and what you would like about it. I do know I need a much bigger lense now.

First, awesome deer and great shot! He posed for you nicely!

The problem I see is that, because you had to crop to remove the feeder, you've had to place the deer on the right side of the frame, with deer generally facing the same direction (off the frame). If anything, the deer in the back provides some balance to the left side of the frame. In Txbowhunter31's example, there's too much empty space to the back of the deer, which looks awkward, and in my opinion, detracts more from the photo than having the deer there. Short of cropping even tighter, I'd be inclined to leave it as is.

Jason this is a perfect shot for someone looking to sell game feeders and whoever builds that unit may want a few of these pics in the un-cropped form? A perfect feeder sales pitch photo, habitat management photo, supplemental feeding photo so on and so forth.

In hindsite I bet you wished you poured a bag of corn up closer to the stand so you didn't have to crop......or snapped him further out to the left and out of the background clutter......or better yet....you had the green light to shoot that big SOB right where he stood with the 25-06?

Great photo... I like the full size one with the feeder in it.

But I believe with a little photoshop work you could remove the feeder and keep all the deer in the foto. If you were going to that level of editing. You might as well take out the corn too. I say great job altogether. One question... when you see a buck like that and are holding a camera do you still get the shakes?

To me, having the feeder in the picture looks better than if it looks like the deer is walking out of the frame. I'd probably keep more space in front of the buck than behind and just crop something like this...

The attention is still on the main buck. The other deer don't detract that much. If anything, they add balance. Just my opinion.
