You can turn off alot of the bells and whistles...I've done that. Not sure if that shutter sound is silencable or not.

The shutter sound is not some little sound file created by the camera that you can turn off. It is the result of a mirror lifting up and slamming shut, so it is what it is. From my experience, it rarely spooks game.

It's impossible to quiet a mechanical shutter unless you buy one of the specialty cases made for them for the quiet shutter use........as used by professionals on the sets of movies, plays, during speeches, etc....
B&H should have some listed.

The main drawback is that they're big, BULKY, & EXPENSIVE and not very conducive to use in a deer stand.
