Congrats to all and especially Jason. I love looking at all the photos entered and the wide variety of images posted. I'm going to have to get a sonic slush now on the way home

Wow. Not sure I agree with your choice. There are at least a half dozen I would have chosen over mine. In fact it isn't even my favorite one of my own I took. I picked it because it had the most comments on flickr. I actually preferred my pic of the lid off the slushie to this pic. LOL

For those that don't know it is a pic of a Powerade Slushie from Sonic.

Kevin your pic actually blows my mind. I saw you uploading them on flickr last night and just knew everyone else was standing in your shadow.

Without any further fan fair my next topic is going to be "Routines". Something you find interesting or observe in your day to day activities at work, at home or at play.

Congrats Jason! I don't know if I could pick a favorite of your shots. You really captured "abstract" with all of them, and they were all interesting.

For that matter, there were a whole bunch of REALLY cool abstract images. I have to admit that I didn't hold out much hope for many pleasing images when I first saw the topic. Boy! Was I ever wrong! I'm floored by the images on this thread. It was way more interesting and fun than I thought it would be. Thanks, Wildman! What a great topic!

Oh, and I'd love to hear how everybody did it. Some very imaginative shots.

I thought this was a part of this friendly "competition". To share and learn.

Congrats Jason! I've always liked that shot. It looks like some sort of sci-fi ice cave.

As for my shot, if anyone is interested...

It is part of a freshly painted vintage truck. Because it was dismantled there were a lot of exposed curves that caught the light in interesting ways. I used a 50mm/f 1.8 because it was on the camera, but I've really been digging that lens lately for the cool shots a fast f-stop creates. I believe I had it on shutter priority stopped down on the exposure to control the sparkly effects from the paint.

                              Congrats Jason. Nice work.

Mine was merely a 400mm shot of the ripples on the surface of the lake, reflecting a nice sunset. Using the 400mm lens was kinda key.

Mine is rather obvious, place camera on log push button Great work Jason and all. I really enjoy seeing not only the photos that everyone enters into the contest but the ones that don't make the cut. I hope that the thread of the unused pics stays a tradition!
