    Eastern Phoebe

This little guy was letting me get real close in my car yesterday, and I couldn't figure out why until I realized he was actually using ME! He would catch the small insects I would flush with my tires and then go ahead on the fence and wait for me to roll forward and flush some more. When I would stop for a minute, he'd come back and look at me as if to say "hey, buddy, keep rolling forward - I'm having supper here!" ha, ha.

    Great 30 minutes of photography.

We used to have red tailed hawks circle the tractor any time we were shredding the pasture. Every so often, you'd see one of them dive to the ground and come up with a rat. Never seen a small song bird do that though.
