    Beginner help

I am thinking about buying a camera to get started taking some pictures at my lease. I am looking to take pictures of wildlife out of my box blind while hunting. What is a good starter setup. I know its all about how much I want to spend. I am looking for something to get started. Not looking for professional quality.

I use a Canon T1i, which is considered old now. 15 mega pix. I have a zoom lens and love the pictures in takes.

They now have the Canon T5i, which is about $800 to $900. These are now 18 mega pix
You can find the T1i on line (Ebay) for around $250 to $300.
What I like about it is the ability to change lenses for different occasions.
The more you spend on lenses the better the picture. Believe me, if you buy a camera that you can change the lens on you will.

Here a couple of pictures I took with my T1i in Colorado

hopefully some of the Nikon users will chime in. I never use one and have no idea or opinion on them. The canon is easy to use.

Don't forget to look at some of the 3rd party lenses from Tamron, or Sigma. They're usually much less expensive and only a tad inferior.

Here are a few I have taken with a Nikon 5100. I love my Nikon but with that I would say you can't go wrong with either a Nikon or Cannon. The big advantage I can see in getting the Cannon is that there are more lenses available to choose from I believe.

Thanks, I took that pic at Wichita Mtns WMA in Oklahoma. This buffalo I would say had to been one of the older ones there he was easily bigger than any other's I saw while I was there.

I have been using a Nikon Nikkor AF-S 55-300mm F/4.5-5.6 VR DX ED G Lens that I got refurbished off ebay. So far not a problem with it. I only have that lense and the 18-55 mm kit lens that came with the camera. I plan on getting a macro lens and I am looking at the Tamron Sp 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro w/ Motor Autofocus. Just need more dinero first.
