I've taken literally thousands of pictures with a little Sony Cyber-shot camera,,,used binoculars and even a spotting scope to help out with the optical zoom. I've now upgraded from the old 2.0 mp,,,,to my new 8.1 mp with 25X optical,,,MUCH better

Canon A630 for the first two. The third is a Canon Rebel Ti film.

With my point and click Olympus

I am definately an idiot when it comes to taking pics. I probably don't have the patience to ever be a good photographer. However, my cheapo Olympus surprises me sometimes with how good some pics turn out. The good (or decent) ones definitely are the result of the camera and subject rather than the photographer. These are a few from a recent trip to Jackson Hole.

One of my favorite young bucks

This is a 2.5 y/o buck that gave me many good chances for pics this year. He was in bow range on 10 or 12 hunts this year. I hope he has a chance to grow for 2 more years before he gets too smart. He is pretty photogenic. Keeping my cheapo Olympus in my backpack adds a whole new dimension to hunting for me and helps ease the sting of passing good young deer with my bow.

hardtner, that's the great thing about the point and shoots is that you don't have to worry about the noise associated with the mirror dropping out of the way.

I've been 10 yards from deer in still conditions, snapping pictures of them without them even knowing. SLR would most likely spook them.
