Last photo is of a female Eastern Tiger Swallowtail. Sometimes they're black as shown here, sometimes they're yellow. Males are always yellow. The other photos from the top are: Eight Spotted Forester Moth, Dusky-blue Groundstreak Butterfly, Checkered White Butterfly, Bee Mimic Robber Fly, (Laphria macquarti), Southern Spreadwing Damselfly, Variegated Meadowhawk Dragonfly, Theses photos were all taken with a Sony A7RV camera and a Sony 200-600mm Telephoto. All shot handheld at 600mm,1/800 and f8.0. With bright sunlight I get better than macro quality shots (much better depth of field) and more than enough working distance. And with this camera's high resolution, the quality of the images is pretty darn good. I have a 180mm and 90mm macro that give great results, but this setup is better in good light.

That sounds awesome! Insects can be incredibly fascinating subjects for photography, especially with all the detail and color they bring. I can’t wait to see what you capture this spring! Macro shots of insects often reveal such a hidden beauty. Keep sharing your work!
