Apologies for the delay, family in town so priorities were shuffled...

        Thanks for the participation.

        In order of appearance...

Cottonwood with "Thousand Points of Light"

Great Holiday color and very cool abstract submission. I'd like to know what I'm looking at but it certainly is a keeper. Please feel free to share more info on it. It's a really nice capture.

Skeetman with "Baby in the Boxes"

Getting an adorable kid to smile on camera is no easy feat. Getting them to do it in a setting of props is even more difficult. This image is a very strong contender with perfect light and nice depth of field.

        Slick8 with three holiday ladies.

Once again proving that beautiful women and bowhunters are a nice mix. Awesome smiles and a great capture of Christmas warmth.

        Cameron with Ripping Paper

Another extremely creative shot that works in black and white. The adorableness factor is off the charts here.

        Snakelover with Christmas Eve

The anticipation is palpable! This image reeks of the anticipation that makes Christmas so great. Love the narrow focus and bokeh. The side light also works well.

        Rtarcher with "Calm before"

Hallmark card framing with traditional feel that really captures the spirit. I like the grain treatment but would also like to see a sharp version. Very high marks for getting it all in and filling the image.

        Jeremy7306 with another holiday classic

Zebra print with pink!? Who could resist it? Loving her look and the young man has a winning smile. Awesome!

        agtex42 with "under the mistletoe".

This is the kind of image that makes you want to run out and reproduce! Seems Christmas and adorable go hand in hand.

        Nanny Slayer with "Christmas Eve"

Another great "calm before the storm" shot. I am often drawn to this same moment. When Christmas is only a morning away and the spirit really starts to sink in... its a very personal feeling and I appreciate the view.

        TUCO with "Red Rider"

Holy cow what a moment! Classic points off the chart! Her eyes, the classic gift, the depth. An instant family treasure!

Trouble closes out the contest with "Wine Glass Bokeh"

Narrow depth of field really makes this one while the colors pop. Another classic moment that brings the anticipation of a holiday meal with family. The warmth factor is really strong.

          And the winner is...

          Ripping Paper by Cameron Gott.

i struggled to give Cameron the win on this because we hang out a lot and often collaborate on photography and design. At the risk of blatant "homerism" I feel this image captured the most spirit and technical expertise. The position of the child is spiritual. Very reminiscent of a child at bedside in a pose of prayer which naturally stirs deep emotion. Even the hardwoods work to draw my eye in. If I had shot this, I probably would have had her lower in the image and I would have missed that effect. This image actually taught my eye something, hence the win.

Congrats to all participants. Lots of great spirit here.
