I would probably pass on that package as a whole and get the camera I wanted and a nice all around lens for now and build upon that as money allows. Some of what is offered there is cheap and probably not worth your money. Photography is much like anything else. The more you get into it and the more you research things you realize that you get what you pay for. The level of photography you want to achieve will play a role in this as well. The more you do it the more serious you become with it for most people. Will it work and take photos of course. The basic camera and a decent lens to start would be where I would start and the camera is certainly nice enough to get you headed in the right direction. I would go with the camera you are looking at and a cheap in cost but fairly quality lens like the nifty 50. This would give you an ideal on how serious you want to become with it. B&H Photo is where I buy my stuff from and there is a good reason for it, bottom line is they are reputable. Shop around and research and you will find out they are hard to beat when you consider all things involved. Not saying you cant get a good deal at another store but this is who I am comfortable using as is most other people on here as well. Take your time and educating yourself will be the best thing you can do to save money and keep from making purchases that you regret later on. In the end the cost of lens' is where you will spend the most money, the camera bodies seem to get upgraded every couple of years as technology gets better and cheaper but the lens change very little right now. Continue to post on here and ask as many questions as you might have. Most on here are more than happy to help people out in what ever way they can.
Take your time and dont buy on impulse is your best strategy as well as asking any questions you may have on this forum. Most everyone on here is more than willing to help you out.

Skip those multi accessory deals. Notice how the accessories don't have brand names, that's cause they are all junk. The flash on the camera is probably better than the one in the kit.
The T3i is a great camera, and a good camera to learn with. The lenses are mid range, not the worst but not the best. The 18-55mm is sold with every camera kit, craigslist and ebay are full of them for $50-$100. The 50-250mm is a Zoom lens and is OK.
I second Cameta, I bought my Nikon there and have had zero problems. Great service, nothing but good things to say about them.
John
I thought bow hunting was expensive til I got into photography.
